Why is learning Spanish is better than going to the gym and will make you thin and attractive?

My argument is that you will get in better shape learning Spanish than joining a gym. Let me explain.

Learning Spanish makes you thin and attractive

I know you think my thesis that learning Spanish makes you thin and attractive is just an attention getter. But listen up, it is not. It is true.

Think of it this way, who would be more interesting for you to meet if you could? Mozart or Mozart’s muscles muscle head neighbor? Mental muscle is more interesting than physical muscle. I think most would agree on this point.

Who is not impressed by someone who is bilingual? Even though the point of learning the Spanish language is not about impressing think of the following idea.

Imagine how cool you could be if you and your girlfriend were in Mexico and she did not know you spoke Spanish. Then suddenly you started negotiating in the market in Spanish with a fruit seller. She would be blown away.

I think you can see were this is going, learning Spanish does impress even if that is not your intent.

Learn Spanish and be thin

Here is an interesting fact. If you learn Spanish, then you will use it and travel more often. You will start to travel to Latin America, Argentina, Mexico, Spain. With all this travel, even if you travel on a shoe string budget; or, should I say especially if you travel on a back packers budget, you will get into shape. Look at this traveler below and argue with me on that point. I dare you.

learning Spanish will make you thin and attractive

Here are some ways that learning Spanish will make you thin, and beautiful

Why?

Spanish food – is healthy and more vegetarian, bean based which is low on the glycemic index.

In Spanish speaking counties – you will be walking, not driving everywhere like in America.

Spanish nightlife make you thin – I am American, but cultural life in the USA not great. While in contrast in Spanish and South America I have danced the night away, without drinking anything but bottled water. Further I find myself walking back at seven in the morning, only to do it again the next day. Compare that with twenty minutes on a stationary bike at the gym. I would say the Spanish dancing nightlife lifestyle beats any American gym for fitness.

When I am in Latin America – the pounds just somehow seem to melt off, maybe its the weather.

Holographic Spanish – When you are around thinner people, such as in Latin America and Spain, you will start to take note of thin people. When you see these people that are much thinner, your body starts to reprogram and take the shape of those in your environment. Perhaps your brains creates a new holographic model of the way a human body should look and your body starts to respond. This is speculative but I think there is some truth to this.

Spanish has a cool factor – Using your brain is no different than going to the gym, but less painful. The more you flex your mental muscle the more conditioned it gets. However, the good news is the effects last a life time. Further, my online learn Spanish course is free and you can do it anywhere, while a gym costs. Lastly if you teach yourself Spanish you will increase your attractiveness more than if you have a perfectly gym honed body.

Learning Spanish burns calories – This is true, your brain is your most vital organ and the more you use it the more glucose it burns and the more energy it consumes. If you were to put a pet scan on your brain while learning Spanish it would light up like a Christmas tree. Thinking is exercise. I first noted this when I saw how many of my old economic professors were thin and healthy, why my old gym coaches over the years put on the weight. Thinking is the hardest exercises there is that is why so few people do it. But if you do it with a purpose and a mission like learning Spanish then you will lose weight.

Spanish in bed burns calories – I do not want to go into this as it is not that kind of website, but read between the lines, or between the sheets if the case might be.

Spanish music gets your heart pumping, this it is clear.

Can you think of other ways in which learning Spanish might help you be attractive and fit? If so leave a reply.

Why do Spanish speakers speak so fast?

I am an American who has travel to South America, grew up around Spanish native speakers and now live in Europe. If you are asking if Spanish speakers speak fast, the answer is a qualified yes.

When you are learning any new language, it always seems native speakers speak fast. My friend has studied English her whole life. In fact she is a teacher of English for foreigners. However, when my other friend (from the States) and I are together talking English, this teacher she says often she only understands the words, but not the meaning as it is too fast and too idiomatic. My conclusion is a language is at an apparent rate of speed because we are not use to it.

Therefore, to all language learners hearing native speakers whether they are Hispanic speakers speaking fast or English speakers.

Why Hispanic speakers seem like they talk faster

I think the Spanish language is very staccato and musical. Staccato is a form of musical articulation that can sound very forceful. This makes Spanish seem quick and even accelerated. Further, I think Spanish being a romantic language, has a lot of passionate speakers, that you might not find with say, Danish speakers. Therefore, Spanish seems quick when there is emotion connected to it.

Like the Tango, Spanish is a fast, musical and passionate language

Latina language speakers are hot blooded, whether they are from South American Spanish from say Peru or European Spanish like in Madrid or Barcelona, Spain. I know this is a stereotype, but Latins have an emotional culture.

People who are asking the question do Spanish people talk fast, often remember a TV show like I love Lucy with Ricky Ricardo or some moment when a Spanish women in a shop got upset and was yelling in Spanish. This conjured up in their mind images of people from Latin countries all over the world behaving like this in normal circumstances. People like to look at the exception than the rule. This is why I think that people have this impression that Spanish is about speed talking. However, this might not always be true, it might just be perception.
On the other hand, in warm countries people tend to take it easy and everything can be done mañana. Therefore, you can argue the contrary. Below is an example of a quick and slow talker.

I knew this one Spanish girl from the gym who had a very soothing voice and talked in a melodic way. I would not say she talked fast. Yet, on the other hand her friend from Puerto Rico talked a mile a minute. Both Hispanic speakers and one faster than the other.

If you were to evaluate the actual word rate I think you would find that Spanish speakers speak about eight percent faster than English speakers on average, but it depends on the region and dialect. You would have to do a word count and compare it with other languages in a large enough sample. This is the only real way to tell when you strip away all the emotions and stereotypes that cloud our imagination. Above is just my guesstimate. I am very curious what you think about this, as I am not a native speaker.

Why learn the Spanish language

Spanish is spoken by 370 million people world wide by some estimates and 500 million if your include non native speakers. Learning Spanish will open door and almost rivals English as a business language.

Reasons to learn Spanish

Spanish is the official language of Spain and its overseas provinces.

Many beautiful Spanish girls.

Not a good reason to learn but to impress your friends.

To improve your brain function by expanding neuron flexibility.

It is also the official language of 18 Latin American republics and part of Puerto Rico.

Learning is fun.

You can read books in Spain.

You can read on the Spanish Internet.

Many people in the United States speak Spanish, especially in Florida and the Southwest.

You can choose with to press 1 or 2 when waiting for customer service in the USA.

Another reason to learn is you can learn the tango and understand the lyrics of Spanish language songs.

Why not.

Many funny Spanish language comics and cartons.

Youtube Spanish is another world than the English language Youtube.

Understand Ricky Ricardo.

Why learn Spanish? To watch Spanish language films

Altogether, about 160,000,000 people speak the language.

Spanish is the most widely used romance language. The Spanish spoken in Spain (Madrid for example) is often called Castilian Spanish. Hispanic or Latin American is spoken in the Americas in places like Mexico.

If you have more reasons please let me know.

The Spanish used in Latin America is known as American Spanish or Hispanic. However, High schools in the United States started offering Spanish as a foreign language as far back as 1930.

Most U.S. students, however, take Spanish in High School just to get a credit and don’t really try to learn to speak it, this is my opinion.

What this video, and you will see what I mean about www.smosh.com/videos/anthony-mexican

Why learn Spanish

The Spanish language developed from Latin about 200 B.C. Of course, it has been influenced by the results of wars over the years to its present state.

Most of the Spanish speaking people in the United States are from Mexico and Colombia, South America.

The Colombians claim their dialect is closer to the original Spanish language. So, what’s the big deal about Spanish? I think the language is beautiful. But, why do so many manufacturers of products we now use include instructions and labels written in Spanish and English?

Here is the answer.

It’s because there are more than 30,000,000 Spanish-speaking people now living in the U.S. The Hispanics work, pay taxes and buy products like Americans do.

Certainly, for Americans learning Spanish has no downside. These are a few reasons for learning the Spanish language.

Learning a language – from why to how

Learn a language with Learnfast-Learn the Spanish language efficiently.

I think the most effective way to study a language is to get a lot of vocabulary into your brain. Not reading a dictionary but use language flashcards. If you use flashcards to study the language then you can test what you know and what you do not know over and over again. If you decide to take classes in a school then you will be better then most anyone in your class just by virtue of vocabulary and after that the grammar will be easier. Let me know what you think of my how and why to learn Spanish.

What is the easiest way to learn Spanish

I teach languages in Europe and I am often asked what is the easiest way to learn any language. What is the best method ad what works the best. To learn the Spanish language it is not much different then any other language you are studying.

What is the easiest way to learn Spanish

Method 1: learn Spanish with flashcards

This is the easiest and fastest way to start speaking Spanish. It may not seem like rocket science but to study and speak Spanish you need words. You need to create many word lists and language flashcards. You need to learn a few thousand words in a few weeks.

Use real Spanish flashcards. Not computer flashcards, but real physical flashcards. Make a list of words, even on the back of a decks of cards and learn them. You need to drill 1000s of words especially verbs to speak a language well.

Method 2: learning Spanish with music

Listen to Spanish songs on your mp3 or everywhere you go and at night translate the lyrics. Much of the music will not make sense at first as a lot of the Spanish music you hear is metaphorical. However, listening to the rhythm will help you absorb the language.

Method 3: Use your computer to study Spanish

Use my site like other sites to learn Spanish online. You do not need to spend a lot of money on Rosetta Stone Spanish as it is nothing special. Learn by hard work and practice.

The easiest way to learn Spanish is method 1 that is Spanish flashcards. Do not even consider going to class or school, even in Spain for immersion until you learn a few hundred verbs and a few thousand words very well.
