Family life in Spanish speaking countries including America

Family life in Spanish countries is very important. I knew this girls from Columbia, South America, her family moved to the city she was attended university.  The parents were all about the kids.  They did everything together, they joined the same gym, worked out.  The family was a nice balanced normal family.

On the other hand, one issues with Hispanic families is they still have a high rate of teenage pregnancy.  I do not know if it is a real problem, just a different culture.  However, if teens get pregnant before they finish school this can perpetuate a cycle of less economic opportunities.

Anyway,  Let me know if you can think of anyway to improve my learn Spanish site or Spanish family vocabulary words. Thank you.

This page was provided as supplementary material for a class I am taking (Spanish for Medical Professionals), and I have enjoyed reading it! I have a question: Can “padre” mean both “father” and “son”? According to the multiple choice answers, that is the case, but I just wanted to check with you.

Mark Biernatsays:

Padre means father, I need to update the page, thanks for review.

Patient Access Representativesays:

I questioned no. 4 also.

# 4 is incorrect. The word “son” is not letter c “padre.” The answer is kind of letter e, hijos” but should be singular “hijo.”
